Dr. A.P. Gamini S. de Silva

Formerly employed in the United Nations Statistical Institute for Asia Pacific (SIAP), Tokyo as a lecturer/Statistician and the Deputy Head of the Department of Census and Statistics has also served as the Monitoring Consultant with the First UNDP Millennium Development Project in Sri Lanka and as a Senior expert for ADB in Statistical Capacity building in Asia having experience for over 35 years in the field of Applied Statistics. Dr. de Silva holds a PhD in Applied Statistics, A Masters in Labour Studies and a Bachelors Degree in Physics and Mathematics. Former President and current Executive Committee Member of the Institute of Applied Statistics, a Member Institute of Statisticians U.K. and a member of International Association of Survey Statisticians.

Dr. Priyath de Silva

Former Public Sector Economist with the Fair-trading Commission and a Director of Plan Implementation with the Southern Development Authority of Sri Lanka of the Ministry of Economic Development. He also worked with several Private Sector establishments as an Economic Researcher and Financial and Investment Analyst since 1975. Presently he works as a Company Director. He holds a Bachelor of Degrees in Mathematics and Computer Management Science. He received his Postgraduate Degrees in Industrial Engineering Economics, home and abroad. He is reading for a Doctoral Degree in Economics where he has already completed relevant course. He holds Life Membership with Sri Lanka Economic Association and Institute of Applied Statistics. He is also a fellow of the Royal Statistical Society of U.K. and served on the advisory board of the University of Kelaniya for undergraduate studies nineties.

Prof. K.A.P. Siddisena

Professor Siddisena is a Senior Professor and well-known Demographer associated with the Academia and University of Colombo. He has been the Dean and the Head of the Department of Demography and subsequently the Director of the Demographic Training and Research Unit of the University of Colombo. He holds MA, M.Sc. and a Ph.D. Degrees in Demography and Population Planning from Australian National University and Michigan. He serves as a Consultant for United Nations Fund for Population Activities (UNFPA) and several other National and International Organizations.
